When Is ‘Big Sky’ Coming Back Tonight?

4

At long last Big Sky is coming back. Now your weekly dose of murders, kidnappings, and surprising musical drops has returned.

Created by David E. Kelley and based on the 2013 novel The Highway by C. J. Box, Big Sky tells the story of a small town with a big crime problem. In a remote part of Montana, women have been going missing. But when two middle-class teenagers join their ranks, the police finally take this crime spree seriously. What they find will haunt your nightmares. Here’s when you can watch more of ABC’s hit drama.

When Is Big Sky on Again?

Your wintertime wait is over. Big Sky returns with Episode 6 today, January 26. This new episode is titled “The Wolves Are Always Out for Blood” and marks the midseason return of the series. New episodes are set to premiere Tuesdays on ABC.

What Time Does Big Sky Come on Tonight?

If you have questions about what happened to Grace, Danielle, and Jerrie, you’re in for a late night. Big Sky Episode 6 premieres on ABC today, January 26, at 9/8c p.m.

How Many Episodes Are in Big Sky?

According to the Big Sky IMDb page, there are 16 episodes in Season 1. Since we’ve already seen five that means there are 11 to go. Originally the series was only supposed to have 10 episodes in its first season but ABC gave it an additional episode order in December of 2020. “After seven days of viewing across linear and digital platforms, the show secured 10.8 million viewers and a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49, becoming the network’s highest-rated debut since The Rookie in October 2018,” Deadline reported.

Here are the episodes we know for sure are premiering over the next few weeks:

  • Episode 6, “The Wolves Are Always Out for Blood”: January 26
  • Episode 7, “I Fall to Pieces”: February 2
  • Episode 8, “The End Is Near”: February 9

What Happened in Big Sky‘s Midseason Finale?

Oh, so much. At the end of Episode 5 Cassie (Kylie Bunbury) guessed that the three missing women were in the All-In truck stop. She was right, and as a reward for her accuracy she had to face Rick Legarski (John Carroll Lynch). Cassie presumably killed him. But knowing that show, that ending may not be as clear as it seems. Here’s Decider’s full guide to that midseason cliffhanger.

How to Watch Big Sky on ABC

Today’s a good day to have cable. If you have it, you just need to turn your TV to ABC before 9/8c p.m. and get ready for some spooky Montana vibes.

What if that’s not an option for you? No worries. If there’s a live TV streaming bundle, there’s a way. As long as you have a subscription to something like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or Roku, you have a way to watch live.

Struck out on those two options? We have two more for you. Last year Hulu made new episodes of Big Sky available on its platform the day after they premiered on ABC, and they’re doing the same this year. New episodes of David E. Kelley’s show will land on Hulu 12 hours after they air on ABC. And if none of these options apply to you, you can always try your luck on ABC’s site. Right now the network has the first five episodes of Big Sky available for free. Chances are they may do the same for Episode 6 and beyond.
