After news broke that former Southern Charm star Naomie Olindo and her boyfriend Metul Shah split after just days moving to New York City together, she took to Instagram last night to address her hurt.
Posting to her stories a photo of herself with bleary eyes and her cat, she wrote, “nothing will be worse than losing my dad but this is a close second. betrayal is never easy for anyone and I’m just so sorry to anyone else that has stumbled across those terrible messages. I’m absolutely positive I will regret posting this tomorrow but so many of you have reached out saying you’re feeling a similar pain. I’m so so sorry.”
The couple had officially moved to New York at the beginning of July so that Metul, an anesthesiologist, could pursue his fellowship with Weill Cornell Medical College. Her agent confirmed the split and told People, “She is back in Charleston and plans to stay there for the time being.” They have also unfollowed each other and she’s removed many photos of him from her account.
Anonymous tips were sent in to Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi that started with “A little birdy told me he hasn’t been loyal,” to “He cheated with his ex. Unclear how Naomie found out but he and the ex had started talking again for over a year,” to “they went on dates,” and even the mention of the incriminating messages that simply said, “The texts were VILE.”
Naomie and Metul started dating three years ago, though he only briefly appeared on Southern Charm with her before she left the show ahead of Season 7, along with cast members Cameran Eubanks and Chelsea Meissner. She previously dated Craig Conover and one memorable argument between the pair led to his now-famous catchphrase, “What’s wrong with my sewing?”
We’re sending positive thoughts to Naomie as she deals with this terrible breakup.
