The Mets may not be done.
After the team’s blockbuster trade for Francisco Lindor (which also included Carlos Carrasco), Mets president Sandy Alderson didn’t deny the possibility the Mets could continue to star-chase this offseason.
“We are always hungry,” he told reporters.
In Lindor, the Mets gain a four-time All Star and a career .285 hitter widely considered one of the best shortstops in the league at age 27.
Acquiring Lindor wasn’t the Mets first piece of significant business this offeason.
They previously signed 2019 All-Star catcher James McCann to a four-year, $40.6 million contract and right-handed reliever Trevor May to a two-year, $15.5 million deal.
